Patrizio Fort Worth closes

Posted 5:11pm on Tuesday, Apr. 23, 2013

As noted by our Bud Kennedy in his latest Eats Beat, the popular Patrizio location in Fort Worth’s West 7th development has closed. All other Patrizio locations, including the other Tarrant County one in Southlake, remain open.

Patrizio is owned by Dallas-based Edward C. Bailey Enterprises, which also owned the Bailey’s Prime Plus steakhouses, all of which have now closed. Bailey’s also had a location in the West 7th development that closed last June; that space now houses Jon Bonnell’s Waters.

We have messages out to Edward C. Bailey Enterprises, but the Fort Worth Patrizio was shuttered this weekend; Meda Kessler, editorial director of 360 West magazine, tweeted this picture of the “Notice of Changing Locks” signs that greeted people who came up to the locked restaurant. CraveDFW reports that owner Ed Bailey was renegotiating the lease when he received word that the building had been locked for nonpayment of rent.

Patrizio had been part of the West 7th complex since early June 2010.
