Rockin' the River 2013 announces line-up

Posted 9:31am on Friday, Apr. 05, 2013

Break out the inner tubes and lawn chairs -- summer concert season is nearly upon us. Starting June 6, Rockin' the River fires up for its third season at Panther Island Pavilion, just outside downtown Fort Worth, and this year, in addition to the main stage, the Trinity River Vision Authority says a "floating stage" will be moored next to the "beach," for an after-show following the headlining performance.

The free concert series starts June 6 with the Josh Weathers Band and Steve Helms Band, and continues with:

June 13: Six Market Blvd. and Matt Kimbrow
June 20: Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights and Whiskey Folk Ramblers
June 27: Thieving Birds and Union Hill
July 11: Phil Hamilton and Tyler & the Tribe
July 18: Micky & the Motorcars and Stewart Mann & the Statesboro Revue
July 25: Cody Canada & the Departed and Brian Keane
Aug. 1: William Clark Green and John David Kent
Aug. 8: Johnny Cooper and Luke Wade & No Civilians

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
