Country music star Sara Evans will be performing in concert as the centerpiece to the Great American Pre-Race Spectacular at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth on Saturday April 13. Evans, known to many from her five singles that hit No. 1 on the country charts, will take the stage on the frontstretch at 4:30 p.m. for an hour-long show that will lead up to the NRA 500 that is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Evans is currently touring for her latest album Stronger that debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Country Albums charts has sold close to six million records and was named 'Top Female Vocalist' at the 2006 Academy of Country Music Awards. She has also appeared on Dancing with the Stars and was featured in the 2005 edition of People Magazine's '50 Most Beautiful People' alongside such luminaries as Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry and Brad Pitt.
She is in the middle of her tour that will take her to such places as Atlanta, Las Vegas, Atlantic City and back in Fort Worth for stop at Billy Bob's Texas on August 10th. Evans has such a large following in North Texas that she has already been in DFW on this tour with a great show at the Arlington Music Hall in January.
While the Arlington Music Hall is an intimate venue that holds 1,150, Texas Motor Speedway is among the largest sports stadiums in America with a seating capacity of over 200,000.
