'Rover to the Rescue' photo project winding down in DFW

Posted 1:52pm on Wednesday, Mar. 06, 2013

Most of the photos above come from Rover (Bow Wow Edition) a beautiful coffee-table book that, at 500 oversize pages, is big enough to be a coffee table itself. Lifelong dog lover Andrew Grant created the book (after some trial and error) a few years ago to promote pet adoption, photographing dogs that were in rescues or shelters. (For the full story, go here).

We're a little late in noting this, but for the past few weeks, Grant's Rover to the Rescue organization has been in DFW, working on a sequel to the book. But if you have a rescue dog or one you adopted from a shelter -- or you have a purebred and want to support the project -- you still have an opportunity to get your pet into the next Rover book. Rover to the Rescue will be in DFW through March 12. To learn more, go here, or folliw Rover to the Rescue on Twitter or Facebook.

Here's an Extra report on the project.
