TCU student to appear Wednesday on ESPNU game-show segment

Posted 10:05am on Wednesday, Mar. 06, 2013

Fort Worth resident/TCU student David Cohen, a self-professsed sports know-it-all, will represent TCU and the Big 12 conference Wednesday night on The Schwab, a new game-show segment on ESPNU.

Inspired by the old show Stump the Schwab, the new Schwab (that's kinda fun to say out loud, isn't it?) features the return of Howie Schwab, ESPN’s first statistician, as he challenges a new generation of sports fans to flex their stats muscles. The Schwab is a segment on ESPNU’s 11p.m. show UNITE in which three contestants from a different NCAA conference square off against one another.

For Cohen, this is a family affair: His father played in the original Stump The Schwab show in 2006. (David's father is Mark Cohen of the TCU athletics media relations office, where David is an intern. So these guys should know their stuff.)

Here's a sample of Wednesday's segment.
