In the galleries: Midcentury pinup photos at Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery

Posted 12:53pm on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013

Remember cheesecake? The titillating kind, not the calorie-rich variety? It was the mid-20th century's sexy photographic come-on published in men's magazines such as Playboy and the defunct Rogue and Wink. One of the most popular pin-up queens of the time was Bunny Yeager, who moved from in front of the camera to behind it. Her photographs, which in retrospect seem quite tame -- even the ones of the infamous Bettie Page -- are on exhibit at Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery. It is Yeager's first solo exhibition. "Bunny Yeager," which opens with a reception 5-8 p.m. Saturday, runs through May ll. 1202 Dragon St., Suite 103, Dallas. 214-969-1852; www.pdnbgallery.com.
