Eater Dallas does its first Fort Worth 'Heatmap'

Posted 1:38pm on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013

Food-centric website Eater Dallas has given Fort Worth restaurants some love before, but this is the first time it has done a specifically Funkytown-centric list of places you should eat right now, with its inaugural Fort Worth Heatmap.

Pretty good list, including the tried-and-true (Fred's Texas Cafe), the big and buzzy (Woodshed Smokehouse, the very new (Ryan's Fine Grocer), and eight others that you can check out here.

As much as I like Torchy's Tacos, it seems like the oddball on the list -- It's part of an Austin-based chain, after all, and it's the one thing here that's not unique to Fort Worth, even in DFW terms. I'd suggest replacing it with Mijo's Fusion or Salsa Fuego instead. And that's just off the top of my head.

Any thoughts on what Eater missed -- taking note that it concentrated solely on Fort Worth and no other cities west of Texas 360? Tell us about it in the comments.
