French alt-rock foursome Phoenix will headline the 23rd annual Edgefest, set for April 27 at FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco. The Dallas-based rock station 102.1 FM "The Edge" pulled the wraps off its line-up over the course of this afternoon, and tickets for the event go on sale Feb. 22 at 10 a.m.
Other headliners include Bush, Paramore, Atlas Genius, AWOLNATION and Youngblood Hawke (see the full line-up right here).
As it was last year, the Edge grabbed a very buzzy act to cap things off (last year, Edgefest was the Black Keys' only foray into DFW) and mixed in some favorites from yesteryear. The balance isn't quite as good as in 2012, but given the absence of former program director Josh Venable, this year's Edgefest appears to be continuing what he set in motion.
