Fat Tuesday 2013 in DFW

So you can't make it down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, but still want to get out and be festive on Fat Tuesday? Not to worry, there are plenty of options around DFW. Here is a random sampling of a few of the bigger events on the holiday that is specifically dedicated to partying on a weeknight:

AVENU LOUNGE on McKinney Ave. in Uptown is hosting a Fat Tuesday Masquerade event with live performances by Adrian Camacho and sounds provided by DJ Nikolas James. Doors open at 10, guest list and bottle service available at 888-369-1411.

RESERVOIR-BAR, PATIO & KITCHEN is hosting its inaugural Fat Tuesday party with a crawfish boil, $4 you-call-its, live music from 6-9 p.m. followed by DJ Droz from 10 until closing.

SFUZZI LAS COLINAS is hosting a Fat Tuesday party sponsored by Captain Morgan Black in its lounge with 1/2 priced pizza, beads, music and themed food. The action gets underway at 4 p.m.   

CHIMY'S on Foch St. in the West 7th corridor is hosting its Fat Tuesday celebration with $4 margaritas, $3 Hurricanes, $2 cups of gumbo and $1 tacos. Chimy’s will be hosting its very own Mardi Gras Patio Parade at 9 p.m. by turning Foch St. into Fort Worth's version of Bourbon Street.

MCFADDEN'S ADDISON, which recently celebrated its first birthday party, is hosting its Fat Tuesday party with a 'Deeds for Beads' contest with the girl with the most beads winning cash and prizes. There will be a crawfish boil, 1/2 off appetizers all day, $4 Southern Comfort and $5 Hurricane with Malibu and Malibu Black. Those who wear a Mardi Gras mask get their drink for $1 before 11 p.m.

DRAFT PICKS SPORTS BAR & GRILL in the Brewery Building in Dallas is having a Fat Tuesday party hosted by Dallas Cowboys lineman Marcus Spears, Sacramento Kings big man Jason Thompson and Royce Reed from VH1's Basketball Wives. The party begins at 4 p.m. and features free crawfish and a live band.

BROWNSTONE KITCHEN + BAR on the corner of Currie and Crockett in the West 7th neighborhood will have its annual 'Beads & Eats' for Fat Tuesday featuring a special Cajun-style menu, patio bar, live DJ, and giveaways. Drink specials include $4 Hurricanes, $4 Hand Grenades and $4 Daiquiri. 

BIKINIS SPORTS BAR & GRILL on Copeland Rd. in North Arlington near Rangers Ballpark and Cowboys Stadium is hosting (what else?!) its Mardi Gras Bikini Contest. In addition to the bikini-clad ladies, there will be drink specials including $12 Coors Light buckets, $3.50 Shiners, $2.50 Wells and $3.50 Jim and Jim Blacks.

SISU UPTOWN RESORT hosts its weekly night 'Adult Swim' party with a Fat Tuesday theme. The Mardi Gras celebration starts at 7 pm. with $7/lb or $20 all you can eat crawfish and music by DJ Avi Marco. Dinner is served until 10 p.m. with the ir$5 appetizer menu until 2 a.m.

RAZZOO'S CAJUN CAFE has been celebrating Mardi Gras for a week. Specials include boiled crawfish for $4.99 per pound, rat toes (shrimp & crab-stuffed jalapenos) for $4.99 and $3.50 frozen Hurricanes.There are multiple Razzoo's locations throughout DFW.

LUXX NIGHTCLUB is hosting the first annual Mystical "Mardi Gras" Celebration on Fat Tuesday. The two-level 4,000 sq ft nightclub is combining its weekly industry night with the big party day and features music by DJ Rev, Timothy James & King James.

THE POUR HOUSE on West 7th has Fat Tuesday festivities including an all day Crawfish Boil with drink specials such as $14 domestic buckets and $6.50 24 oz. Hurricanes. Poo Live Crew will be performing on the main stage with DJ Cisco spinning in the Garage.

HACIENDA ON HENDERSON in Dallas is turning its popular $2 Tuesdays into the ultimate Fat Tuesday party. There will be a photo contest where those who tag Hacienda in their picture on facebook, twitter, or instagram could win $100 bar tab. Drink specials include $2 Margaritas, $2 Dos XX, $2 Jello Shots and $4 Hurricanes.

PLUSH in downtown Dallas is home to the All-Star Party Gras Fat Tuesday party. The popular nightclub begins it bash at 5 p.m. with drink specials on Hurricanes and $5 per plate on items including New Orleans style jumbalaya with chicken, sausage, & shrimp, Cajun shrimp po-boys and regular, lemon pepper and buffalo wings.

FRY ST. PUBLIC HOUSE in Denton is hosting the PHat Tuesday party with doors opening at 3 p.m. There will be a crawfish boil ($6.99 per pound), specials on Hurricanes and Hand Grenades and Billy the Kidd on the decks all night.

DUKE'S ORIGINAL ROADHOUSE in Plano kicks off its Fat Tuesday bash at 11 a.m. with $3 You Call Its, crawfish all day, a beads contest and live music by Vegas Stars.
