The irrepressible Good Show gang is back with its first curated evening of music for 2013, and instead of regular haunt Lola's Saloon, the fun is being moved to the new Whiskey Girl Saloon. The freewheeling night will be headlined by Pablo and the Hemphill 7, with support from Gonzo City and Lindby. Downbeat is at 10 p.m. Saturday, and eight bucks will get you in the door.
Turn your weekend up to 11 with Fuzz-O-Rama '13 at the Where House. A quartet of hard-hitting local rock acts -- the Me-Thinks, the Dangits, B-- Bricks and Trollfinger -- will shred guitars, explode amps and pummel your eardrums with glorious rock 'n' roll. The 21-and-up, BYOB event gets going at 9 p.m. Saturday, and will set you back a mere $6.
