A Cat Power concert, at least around these parts, is as rare as hen's teeth, but singer-songwriter Chan Marshall is kicking off her 2013 with a six-date jaunt across the U.S., which includes a stop Friday at the South Side Music Hall. She's hit the road in support of last year's well-received Cherokee, and although her personal problems have played havoc with a planned European tour for later this year, Marshall is well enough to bring her music to a fortunate few in America.
If you'd like to be in the room while she's working her magic, you're in luck. Thanks to the generous folks at Spune, DFW.com has two (2) pairs of tickets to give away to two lucky readers. Just email me with the subject line "Silent Machine" by 5 p.m. tomorrow, and you'll be entered to win one of two pairs of tickets. Employees of McClatchy and the Star-Telegram are not eligible to win. Good luck!
