Show us your tweets: NHL lockout unlocked edition

Posted 6:30am on Wednesday, Jan. 09, 2013

The National Hockey League and its players' union ended a 113-day labor dispute that threatened to derail (deblade?) the NHL's entire season. This means...well, to a lot of us, it doesn't really mean anything, but to hockey fans, it means that there's some semblance of a hockey season beginning this month. And it means tweets, both pro and con.

And on the 113th day, the Lord said, "Let there be hockey," and there was #hockey. He saw that it was good, and it pleased Him.

Right when I was getting used to being able to watch sportscenter without ever having to change the channel, the lockout ends #hockey #ew

Dear #NHL / #NHLPA, You're like the boyfriend who doesn't call for 4 months, then shows up, expecting me to act like nothing's wrong.

-- @Motley_Su

My dad has 4 daughters -- the man WAKES UP defeated. Today is his birthday, thanks #NHL/#Bills. Good things come to those who parent.

BREAKING NEWS: Karl Rove says the #NHL lockout is still NOT over.

-- @GardenFaithful

I'll continue to support #NHL the way I always have. Only go when the tickets free & watching 4 my face on the jumbotron the entire time.

I wish my high school teachers reacted this happily when I completed my work four months late.

As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
