Two Arlington residents won a whole lot of panini in separate categories of Corner Bakery Cafe's Show Us Your Grill contest.
Entrants in the contest, which ran from Oct. 22 to Nov. 18, shared photos via social media (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) in four categories: "Cheesy," "Hungry," "Love at First Bite" and "Panini Face." There was also a Fan Favorite category voted on by Facebook fans.
Brit Lace of Arlington won in the Cheesy category for the photo with this post. Brit is the blonde on the left, with her friend, Rachel Fields. It's actually two photos merged into one image, which accounts for that line down the middle.
Thomas Mitchell of Arlington won in the Love at First Bite category for the panini proposal photo with this post -- which, as it happens, was taken by Brit Lace.
"We are really good friends with Thomas," Lace says in an e-mail connected to the news release. "We were so surprised when both of us won! We had no idea we would both make it, we just thought we would all go out to eat and take pictures for fun!”
Mitchell and Lace each won a free grilled panini a week for a year.
