Nostalgia-oriented 'Cozi TV' launches in DFW

Posted 11:24am on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012

Cozi TV, a nostalgia-oriented TV channel, made a soft launch Thursday on KXAS/Channel 5.2, NBC 5's digital subchannel.

The soft-launch programming is deeply nostalgic, much of it going back to the '50s with shows such as The Adventures of Ozzy and Harriet, The Lone Ranger and the Roy Rogers Show.

There's also a substantial amount of Christmas programming, both in movies and in TV episodes, but much of this is atypical. According to its website, Cozi TV's shows will include such '7s series as The Six Million Dollar Man. Charlie's Angels and Marcus Welby M.D., as well as the 1980s series Magnum, P.I and Highway to Heaven and the classic '60s western The Virginian. Roy Rogers and The Lone Ranger are part of the permanent rotation, which will also include here.
