LeBron James is the biggest star in the NBA. Period.
He took the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals in his first season with his new team before falling to the Dallas Mavericks in six games. Last season, James was not to be denied as he led the Heat to the NBA title over the Oklahoma City Thunder and was named NBA Finals MVP. The eight-time NBA All-Star followed up his first NBA championship with his second Olympic gold medal as he led Team USA to an undefeated record in the games.
Since the Heat plays in the Eastern Conference, LeBron, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen and company only make one trip to DFW in the NBA's regular season. They play the Mavs on Thursday Dec. 20 at 8:30 pm. at American Airlines Center.
For his only visit of the season, LeBron James is hosting the 'Celebrating the Life of Dallas Cowboy Jerry Brown' Event at ZOUK on Wednesday, Dec. 19 beginning at 10 p.m. The producer of the event, UG Productions is giving 10 percent of the proceeds of the event to the family of Jerry Brown. Expect to see some of James' Heat teammates, Dallas Cowboys players and plenty of local celebrities for what will be one of the bigger 'see and be seen' parties of the year in Dallas.
The event was originally slated as a night for Dallas socialites to interact with NBA Champion LeBron James. Now it has been transformed into an evening of philanthropy in efforts to support Brown's family and unborn daughter, Mya.
