The popular hosts of ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM's Ben and Skin Show, Ben Rogers and Jeff 'Skin' Wade are hosting a Holiday Happy Hour on Friday Dec. 14 at the Mucky Duck Bar in Addison.
Ben and Skin will be on hand to actually 'hang out' -- this is not a simple meet and greet -- at this impromptu party with their listeners in the family-owned neighborhood bar and restaurant. If you want to give the guys a hard time about their sudden interest in playing golf, this is the perfect time to do your best Butch Harmon impression and give them some tips about the proper grip and stance. Then again, go overboard and you could end up being the subject of one of their next rap songs.
These guys are full of Dallas Cowboys knowledge -- they recently had Tony Romo on the show -- and even followed the Texas Rangers on the playoff road trips in the two World Series seasons. But the true genius of the show comes when they are talking about the Dallas Mavericks.
Perhaps you can ask Ben about the time that he dubbed the Mavs the 'One and Done' boys at the beginning of their playoff run that culminated in the NBA title over the Miami Heat. On the other hand, you could be like me and simply admit that these two have forgotten more about the Mavericks than I will ever have ever learned in my lifetime.
