Check out these small-screen holiday offerings

'Tis the season of television excess, when White Christmas morphs into white noise.

In the weeks to come, at practically any hour of the day or night, you can find festive holiday-themed programming somewhere on the TV landscape.

In addition to more than 30 new Christmas TV movies (about a dozen of which premiered before Thanksgiving), there are myriad holiday specials and series episodes.

What's more, networks such as Hallmark Channel, Lifetime and ABC Family are opening the vaults to Christmases past with reruns galore.

There's some quality product out there, to be sure, but there's even more dollar-store-caliber junk.

So we've put together a guide to help you cut through the Christmas TV clutter.
