Fort Worth Food Park plans 1-year anniversary celebration

Posted 10:32am on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012

The DFW food-truck scene may be having its problems, but the Fort Worth Food Park -- that small but popular park in a somewhat out-of-the-way lot at 2509 Weisenberger st., a block away fromk White Settlement Road -- has been a success. And it's going to celebrate.

According to a Fort Worth Food Park release, 700 people attended the park during the cold Dec. 2, 2011 night that it opened. And people have kept coming. The Food Park will celebrate its anniversary a little late -- Dec. 7 -- with a shindig that will begin at 5:30 in the evening. There will be live music, a Cowboys ticket giveaway, drink specials, and -- this part intrigues us -- a special awards ceremony. And, of course, food trucks. For up dates, check the Food Park's website or its Facebook page.
