When we've written about Arlington's Pentatonix and Fort Worth's Tim Halperin, we've tended to refer to the reality shows that raised their profiles (Pentatonix won The Sing-Off; Halperin was an American Idol semifinalist that many believe was eliminated way too early). But it's getting to the point where we just need to let these acts stand on their strong reality-show efforts.
Both have just released Christmas albums that are available via iTunes and Amazon: Pentatonix's PTXMas is out this week, and Halperin's Under That Christmas Spell was released last week.
Pentatonix has just released an official video for Carol of the Bells that shows off their talent as, really, the best a cappella group going right now. Check it out:
Halperin does not appear to have released a video of any of the Under That Christmas Spell songs yet, but audio-only versions of all the songs are on YouTube.
