Slices of Tschetter

Age: 42

Hometown: Sioux Falls, S.D., where his main sport was golf. His sister, Kris, became an LPGA pro, and his brother, Mike, teaches at Leonard Golf Links.

College: TCU, Class of 1992. Studied advertising/public relations and political science. Attended TCU because his sister and brother did before him; they had golf scholarships, but his parents paid for his schooling.

Pre-Pour House restaurant experience: Some work as a server and bartender, including at Fort Worth's Magnolia Bar.

Pre-Pour House nonrestaurant experience: Worked in commercial real estate for about two and a half years, first in Fort Worth, then in Dallas.

Opens downtown Pour House: Halloween 1995, with fellow TCU grad Scott Priesmeyer, who had cooked at Colonial Country Club. (Priesmeyer is now sales manager for N H Scheppers Distributing in Columbia, Mo.). It lasts 14 years at Fifth and Throckmorton streets, until a dispute with building owner XTO Energy leads Tschetter to leave downtown at the end of 2008.

Opens West Seventh Pour House: Halloween 2009. Adds open-air Garage to space in late 2010.

Opens PhD ( Pour House Dallas): September 2012 at 1300 W. Davis St. in Oak Cliff. "It is going to be a mini Pour House," Tschetter tells DFW.com in June, when word came out about the Dallas spot. "But more neighborhoody like downtown [Fort Worth] PH back in the day."
