KERA/90.1 FM is adding two shows to its weekday lineup, which will undergo some minor scheduling.
The Takeaway will air at 11 a.m. weekdays, beginning Monday, Nov. 12. It's a one-hour national program hosted by John Hockenberry, an Emmy/Peabody-winning vet of NBC, ABC and public radio. T"he program engages audiences across America and in many corners of the globe on important topics like education, immigration, health care, the evolving national and global economies and the politics of our time," per the release.
Tell Me More will air at 8 weeknights, also beginning Nov. 12. Hosted by ABC/NPR vet Michel Martin, the show "focuses on the way we live, intersect and collide in a culturally diverse world."
Fresh Air With Terry Gross, which had been airing at 11 a.m., will move to 3 p.m., and Tell Me More will replace the "encore" broadcast of Fresh Air that airs at 8 p.m.
Morning Edition will expand an hour, and begin airing at 4 a.m. weekdays.
