There was a large number of big Halloween bashes across DFW this past weekend with the annual event falling on a Wednesday this year. Should you have any energy left over or feel like you have recovered enough to get out on the actual Halloween night, there are still plenty of big parties going on in the Metroplex.
Here is a random sampling of some of the Halloween evening parties in DFW:
The ROLLING STONES HALLOWEEN TRIBUTE at Sfuzzi Las Colinas will have a Halloween Dames Dinner (Free three-course dinner for ladies only with reservation by calling 214.390.9801). There will also be a costume contest with prizes and music by the Rolling Stones tribute band band The Stoneleighs. Seating starts at 8 p.m.
PAT GREEN LIVE AT THE WOODSHED SMOKEHOUSE on Halloween night will be so packed that there is no dinner service after 6 p.m. at Chef Tim Love's popular restaurant. Kenny Uptain opens the show at 7 p.m. with Pat Green taking the stage at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 for general admission and include a ticket to Green's Dec. 8 concert at Billy Bob's. This will likely sell out, so call ahead (817) 624-9712 to purchase tickets.
The GLASS CACTUS HALLOWEEN BASH will feature the 106.1 KISS FM Costume Contest with DJSC and Billy the Kidd. 106.1 FM listeners can submit Halloween costume pictures to 1061kissfm.com for their chance to win $500. Doors open at 5 p.m. and admission is free until 8 p.m.
HALLO-WINE DOWN WEDNESDAY at La Buena Vida Vineyards in Grapevine. There will be a costume contest with the winner being announced at 8 p.m. and live music by Ricardo Castillo from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Drink specials include $5 all wine by the glass, $3 Mimosas and $1 Wine Jello Shots.
The OFFICIAL DRAGON'S HALLOWEEN BALL 'DECOMPRESSION PARTY' will be at Plush in downtown Dallas. Plush (which ranks as the No.47 nightclub in the US by Nightclub & Bar magazine) hosted the Dragon's Halloween Ball on Saturday and follows it up with this big bash. Costumes are requested but not required and table/bottle service is available.
Three Sheets is hosting its 3rd ANNUAL HALLOWEEN BASH beginning at 7 p.m. and featuring complimentary featured Stoli cocktails and $5 Buffalo Trace. There will be a $1,000 costume contest with the winner based on crowd response.
Cowboys Arlington is hosting a special HALLOWEEN LADIES NIGHT with Live music by Chris Shackleford, Nikki Horner and Ramblin Fever. There will also be a drawing for a pair of tickets to the Dallas Cowboys home against the Cleavland Browns on November 18th at Cowboys Stadium.
The HOUSE OF HORROR Halloween bash will take place at Avenu Lounge in Uptown. There will be drink specials, giveaways and sounds by DJ Scooter from Los Angeles. For reservations call 888-369-1411.
NIGHTMARE ON BERRY STREET at the Cellar Bar near TCU will feature live music from the Fungi Girls, Year of the Bear, Siberian Traps, Mailman and The Fibs. Music begins at 8:30.
The HILLBILLY HIP HOP HELLOWEEN BASH will be at the Gold Standard Bar on West 7th in Fort Worth. There will be drink specials and shot specials all night with the "Most Hillbilly" costume getting a free bar tab.
The ELF-MEN'S 3RD ANNUAL DEAD MAN'S PARTY will be at the Wild Rooster Bar at the corner of Camp Bowie and West 7th in Fort Worth. The popular Oingo Boingo cover band is joined by Oliver's Army (an Elvis Costello tribute band) for a party with costumes and no cover.
Wish Ultralounge on Knox St. in Dallas is hosting the FINAL DESTINATION HALLOWEEN NIGHT event with ladies free all night, $3 Hypnotiq, Coronas, wells and shots. Groups of 15 or more get a complimentary bottle. For more information, call 214-418-8328.
