Breaking: Madonna cancels Saturday show in Dallas

Posted 7:25pm on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012

As I reported on Twitter, late today, Live Nation announced Madonna's show tomorrow night (Saturday) at American Airlines Center is canceled.

Citing "severe laryngitis" and doctor's orders for "complete vocal rest for the next 36 hours," the pop star's planned two-night stand in Dallas has been reduced to one. According to promoter Live Nation, the show will not be rescheduled and all tickets for Saturday's show will be refunded at the point of purchase, while tickets bought online will be refunded directly. Per Live Nation's brief statement, "Madonna regrets any inconvenience to her fans."

Sunday's show is still expected to take place, as of Friday evening. According to Live Nation, there are "a very limited number of seats" available for that performance, scheduled to start at 8 p.m. For more information, visit Madonna's website or Live Nation's.
