While Sfuzzi Las Colinas is celebrating its first birthday, it still has the energy of a new hot spot with its combination of good food and beautiful people in a great atmosphere. It's hard to believe that once upon a time, the people who lived in the master-planned Las Colinas community in Irving had the option of either going to Cool River Cafe or making the trek over to Uptown in Dallas if they wanted to go out. Those days are now a distant memory.
When Sfuzzi opened its doors, there was talk of its location -- across HWY 114 from the sparkling new Irving Convention Center -- and whether it was a cursed corner following the openings and subsequent closings of Tenaya, Belvedere, Republic and Las Colinas Prime. Turns out that Sfuzzi was an instant success and was in the right place at the right time.
The one-year anniversary party featuring the JC All-Stars Runway Rock Show will be October 20 beginning at 8 p.m. There will be live music, a fashion show with over a dozen models and over $1k in prizes and giveaways. Following the show, DJ Goody will be spinning in the Sfuzzi Lounge late into the night.
