If you've been trapped in a basement the last few weeks, missing out on all the local indie-rock music festivals like the Fort Worth Music Festival and Dallas' Index Festival, this weekend is your chance to play a little catch-up.
Lolasaplooza III, the third edition of the annual shindig at Lola's in Fort Worth, returns Friday through Sunday with a stellar lineup of mostly local bands. Headlining Friday are legendary Arizona punk originals the Meat Puppets with some heavy-hitter regional names opening, including the Quaker City Night Hawks, the Hanna Barbarians and the always entertaining Calhoun.
Up Saturday is pioneering Denton group Brutal Juice, Spoonfed Tribe, Katsuk, the O's, Oil Boom, Effinays, the Me-Thinks, Holy Moly, Luke Wade & No Civilians, Larry Gee and more.
Sunday features the Cush, Big Mike's Box of Rock, Dove Hunter, Woodeye, We're Wolves and more.
Admission is $10 single-day pass, $20 three-day pass. There's an additional $5 fee for those under 21.
