As Spune founder Lance Yocom and I discussed a couple weeks back, his promotions/management outfit has had a monster year, which is fitting, given that it's Spune's 15th anniversary. The latest endeavor undertaken by Yocom and his tireless team is this weekend's Index Festival, a two-day event featuring a slew of buzzy indie rock acts (Grimes, Surfer Blood, Washed Out and Portugal. The Man are among the headliners) mixed in with a great slate of local acts (Blackstone Rangers, Bethan and A.Dd+, to name just a few).
As for those who want to partake of the tunes, food and general good times at Trees in Deep Ellum starting on Friday, Spune has graciously provided a pair of two-day passes for DFW.com to award one lucky reader.
