See 'The Big Lebowski' on the big screen at Movie Tavern

Who is your favorite 'Big Lebowski' character?
Posted 12:58pm on Thursday, Oct. 04, 2012

Hardly a day goes by when I don't hear a line from The Big Lebowski.

"You're out of your element," my wife will tell me. Or, a co-worker will joke: "well, that's just like your opinion, man."

So even if I haven't seen the entire movie in a couple of years, it feels as if The Big Lebowski is always with me.

But now we've all got the chance to commune with The Dude, Walter and Donny on the big screen. The West 7th Movie Tavern is showing it (twice!) as part of its Retro Cinema series. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 11.

Other films in the Retro series, which runs through the end of November, include The Exorcist (Oct. 16 and 18) and Young Frankenstein (Oct. 30 and Nov. 1).

First up, though, is The Big Lebowski. And I can't wait. I'll be there with my Jesus bobblehead and my "I don't roll on Shabbos" T-shirt. Afterward, maybe we can all walk over to In N Out Burger, or roll a few games.

In the meantime, I wanted to share my favorite Big Lebowski moment. I actually interviewed and bowled with The Dude. Priceless.
