By Richter scale standards, Saturday night's earthquakes in the Metroplex were not whoppers -- 3.4 and 3.1 magnitude. No major damage or injuries were reported. Still, the news managed to give people in the Twitterverse license to use the earthquake as an excuse for all manner of triumphs and tragedies. And, as with all things in DFW, tweeters even tied it back to the Cowboys -- with a dash of wishful thinking for the Rangers.
That wasn't an earthquake that shook the metroplex last night. Beltre was taking some late night BP preparing to drop bombs today #Rangers
The earthquake we had here was God stomping his foot down telling the Rangers to get down to business today
No... That wasn't an earthquake north Texas, that was your Cowboys being driven into the ground. #NationalTVNightmare
#earthquake anyone just feel that. Oh wait. Cowboys just laid a huge egg. Told ya another quake was coming in Arlington. #cowboys
Ok. My apartment building just shook. Was that another earthquake or the Cowboys recovering a fumble? I'm scared. Hold me...
I never knew Dallas was full of earthquake experts. If only we had as many experts to figure out how to get the Cowboys a playoff win.
That 3.4 magnitude earthquake in Dallas earlier was actually just another incomplete Tony Romo pass hitting the ground
