Fort Worth/Cool's Casey James (American Idol) and Arlington's Pentatonix (The Sing-Off) appeared late last week on back-to-back episodes of VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live. In case you missed it, here are the videos.
After dealing with some silly patter from co-host Carrie Keegan, James, accompanied by his drummer, Fort Worth's Blaine Crews, does a modest version of Crying on a Suitcase that I like better than the slicker recorded version. This is from last Thursday's Morning Buzz:
Pentatonix, featuring Arlington's Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado and Mitch Grassi, along with later recruits Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola, doesn't have to put up with as much host talk and just busts into its version of Nicki Minaj's Starships. Which is pretty dang amazing. From Friday's show:
