THACKERVILLE, OK -- As part of its recent expansion that saw WinStar World Casino become the second-largest casino in the world came the addition of the upscale nightclub Mist. Mist had its grand opening this past weekend with live performances by DJ Smiley and electro-pop group Mic & Baby J.
Mist has the atmosphere of an upscale Dallas nightclub, complete with velvet rope and VIP entry. Once inside, there is a foyer area with the club/lounge area to the left. The club is a cool set-up with cocktail tables, couches, a dance floor and elevated stage. The bar opens to both the club and foyer sides of the room.
We dropped by after the Blink 182 concert and -- as with any nightclub I have ever been to -- the later it got, the bigger the crowd. Mist's location directly across from the Global Events Center is ideal for nights when there are big headliners playing in concert. We noticed several very attractive women from the concert making their way to the club following the show, much like the glory days of Ghostbar atop the W hotel, when fans would stream over following a big show at American Airlines Center.
Mist is open Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. with last call at 1:30 a.m., and Thursday evenings from 8-midnight for "Lounge Night Thursdays." There is a $10 cover after 10 p.m. and ladies get in free all night. For table reservations or to reserve a VIP area, contact a host at 580-276-8587.
