A few months ago, we told you about Pour House honcho Eric Tschetter's plans to open PhD, an Oak Cliff spinoff. Tschetter wanted to have the bar open by September, in time for the football season. He made it, opening on Monday. But it's still a partial thing.
"We will be closed this weekend," Tschetter says in an e-mail. "Open [next] Monday and Tuesday lunch. Then Wednesday we will be opening seven days a week for lunch and dinner."
Tschetter says the Oak Cliff spot, at 1300 W. Davis St., does not yet have its TABC license, so it's still BYOB for now. "It is going to be a mini Pour House," Tschetter told us in June. "But more neighborhoody like downtown [Fort Worth] PH back in the day." It'll still be a sports bar, with a menu similar to but smaller than the Fort Worth Pour House's menu. It will be open for brunch beginning Sept. 23. For the menus, go here.
