Man Fire Food, Cooking Channel's show featuring Chef Roger Mooking talking to chefs about inventive ways of cooking with fire, will feature Dallas' Chicken Scratch on its Sept. 25 episode.
Mooking will chat with chef Tim Byres, who "spins spice-rubbed chickens from his unique wood-burning rotisserie." Byres (who is also connected with Oak Cliff hot spots Smoke and Bolsa, will also show off the pit he has dug in his vegetable garden so he can cook stuff like carnitas and Mexican lamb barbacoa.
The episode is part of a Texas swing that will also feature Tom Spaulding of Austin's Live Oak Barbecue.
