Dallas Cowboys Silver and Blue Debut set for August 23

Posted 10:10pm on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012

The Dallas Cowboys are halfway through their preseason, following a win at Oakland and a loss at San Diego. The 3-0 victory over the Raiders left a lot to be desired and it led to the loss of tight end Jason Witten with a lacerated spleen. Ironically, the first team played much better in the 28-20 loss to the Chargers last Saturday.

With the West Coast tour over, the Cowboys are heading home and hosting the annual Silver and Blue Debut on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to approximately 6:30 pm. at Cowboys Stadium. The event is an open practice that gives fans their first chance to see the 2012-13 Cowboys, including newcomers such as prized free agent Brandon Carr and top pick Morris Claiborne.

In addition to the practice, there will be performances by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers.

Parking for the event is $10 with the lots opening at 2:30 p.m. The plazas will open at 3 with the stadium opening at 3:30.
