Been awhile since we mentioned Alex Lambert, the former North Richland Hills resident who made it to the Top 24 on season nine of American Idol -- the same season as North Texans Todrick Hall, Tim Urban and Casey James. But Lambert has been working on his songwriting, and he's landed his first professional credit.
It's for a single called Trouble by Chris Rene, who's best known for competing on another singing competition: The X Factor. The video was just released; here it is.
Coincidentally, during his American Idol run, Lambert performed a song called Trouble -- Ray LaMontagne's Trouble, also known as the Song in That Travelers Insurance Commercial With the Cool Dog. Here it is, complete with flashback to the incredible earnestness of former judge Kara DioGuardi.
