Kelly Clarkson records new anthem for Dallas Cowboys

Posted 9:36am on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012

She can't help the special teams, she can't do Jason Garrett's job for him and she can't take over for Tony Romo in the fourth quarter, but Fort Worth-born Kelly Clarkson's going to do her best to help the Dallas Cowboys go the extra mile this season.

Clarkson is part of a new Pepsi promotion that was unveiled yesterday, and features a full-length tune from the multi-platinum singer titled Get Up (A Cowboys Anthem) (you can stream the track below). Other acts involved with the promotion include Travis McCoy, Wiz Khalifa, Ice Cube and Kid Rock. As Clarkson tells USA Today's Edna Gunderson, "When you're born in Fort Worth, you come out of the womb loving the Cowboys. In Texas, people love football more than anything. Once they find out about this, I'll be golden."

Now, let's all close our eyes and imagine Dez Bryant tapping his toes to this before game-time.
