TCU to open food truck, with help from Tim Love

Posted 3:40pm on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012

TCU is getting into the food truck act with Big Purple Truck, TCU 360 reported today. The truck will feature food from Tim Love, whose buzz restaurant Woodshed Smokehouse isn't too far from the TCU campus.

Michael Dahl, director of operations for TCU's Market Square, told TCU 360 that the truck will operate from early lunch to right before dinner Monday-Friday near the TCU library, which is on the east side of University Drive. Exact hours and location are to be announced. The truck will also be available at TCU football games.

Love has been more active in the TCU area lately, including his involvement in the re-opening of Oui Lounge during the spring. A little over a month ago, there was a rumor that Love was also going to open a location of his Love Shack burger joint on Bluebonnet Circle, but so far, we've been unable to verify whether that's true or false.

Messages are out to Dahl and Love to see if we can find out a little bit more about the menu and other details. Will update if and when we receive info.
