"What about my plate??"
When Fort Worth's beloved Flying Saucer reopened in July in the old 8.0 space, management knew that people were concerned about The Plates.
For the uninitiated, the original Saucer had walls lined with plates that honored the "Beerknurds" who have had 200 different craft beers from the Saucer's huge selection. The relocation involved moving more than 1,000 of those plates.
The Saucer has announced a party for the Beerknurds, who will at long last be reunited with their lovies. If you had a plate in the "Ring of Honor" in the old Fort Worth Saucer, you're invited to an Aug. 16 bash at the new location, where you'll be presented with your original plate. Also, original Ring of Honor plate holders can see their names on the Honor Wall at the new Saucer.
"We promise an evening of dynamite food and brew, with a few perks thrown in for lucky winners," the Saucer's website says. There will also be a silent auction at 6 p.m., benefiting Tarrant Area Food Bank.
NOTE: You must RSVP by August 13th to be registered to win. Thanks for all of your years of supporting us and craft beer. RSVP by clicking here.
