1. KRLD Restaurant Week: You wanna give back, and you have to eat. This annual event, which benefits Lena Pope Home and other charities, is a win-win. More than 125 restaurants in North Texas are offering a three-course dinner for $35 per person (or for some, $25 for a prix fixe lunch; more expensive packages are available at certain places). Chow spots include Fort Worth's Bonnell's, Brownstone, Eddie V's, Lanny's Alta Cocina, Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, Capital Grille; Dallas participants include Campo Modern Country Bistro and Hattie's; one of our favorite spots in Carrollton, Misto-Bistro, is on this year's list, too. Monday through Aug. 19 (some places extend through Aug. 26 or Sept. 2) at dining spots around Dallas-Fort Worth. Prices vary. For complete list of participants, visit www.cbsdfw.com
