Friday is Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A

Posted 10:59am on Thursday, Jul. 12, 2012

Friday the 13th. As it turns out, a lucky day for cows and Chick-fil-A fans, who both score in the restaurant chain's promotion.

Here's how it works: wear a partial costume (a cow printed hat, purse or, the Chick-fil-A FAQ's suggest, vest), and you get a free entree. Wear a head-to-hoof costume, and score a free meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner), which includes an entree, medium waffle fries and a medium beverage.

Then there's Chick-fil-A's "Best Cow Costume Contest." Starting Friday, go to www.chick-fil-a.com/Cows/Appreciation-Day and submit a photo of you in your cow costume, you'll be entered for a chance to win a $100 Chick-fil-A gift card, a catered party or other prizes. There are three prize categories: Cow (1 person, 13 and older); Calf/Calves (1 or more kids, 12 or younger); and Herd (2 or more people; 1 most be 13 or older). Also on www.chick-fil-a.com/Cows/Appreciation-Day, there are instructions about downloading the Chick-fil-A iPhone app, another way to enter the costume contest.

So get your spots on, and have fun eating mor free chikin.
