Demi Lovato, the Colleyville-bred singer/actress/ X Factor judge, will be the subject of a graphic novel to be released in August.
Fame: Demi Lovato, due for release Aug. 15, will be the latest in Bluewater Productions' "Fame" series, according to a release. ("'Fame' comic books focus on the lives of today's most popular celebrities," says the release, because heaven knows you wouldn't find out about them any other way.)
The 40-page comic book will chronicle Lovato's early years, her Disney Channel stardom and her chart-topping music success. The "early years" part is a little vague, but Lovato once told DFW.com in an interview that she used to "live" at Southlake Town Square, and it's pretty well-known that she and fellow Disney-generated star Selena Gomez became good friends at an audition for Barney and Friends. It's also well-known that, once famous, Lovato spent a stint in rehab after dealing with physical and emotional issues.
The book was written by Michael Troy and drawn by Nathan Girten. It's $7.99, and is available for preorder. Digital versions will be available for Nook, Kindle and iPad. Other releases from the "Fame" series include profiles of Lovato's fellow X Factor judge Britney Spears and Michael Jackson, as well as future titles about Nick Jonas and Katy Perry.
