Last time we wrote about one of Tim Love's Today appearances, Woodshed Smokehouse wasn't open yet, and Savannah Guthrie wasn't yet co-host, although she did appear in the cooking segment and get freaked out by a chorizo-stuffed rainbow trout that wouldn't stop staring at her.
Natalie Morales, who had no problem with the fish eyes in that segment, did the honors with Love in Tuesday's "Today's Kitchen: Grillin' & Chillin' " segment. Love demonstrates how to grill skirt steak -- "[It's] become a very sexy kind of meat," he tells Morales. "Kind of like your shoes." -- stressing the important of inside cuts and peanut oil. He also talks about the wine he uses in, um, cooking ("Kathie Lee and Hoda can't have all the fun," he says). Then there's a demo of how to make a confit potato salad, during which Morales, not bothered by fish eyes, seems to be a little skittish about Anaheim chiles.
As the food is served, Today news anchor and NBC news correspondent Tamron Hall dives in, along with MSNBC's Willie Geist.
