After seven years as a stalwart on the Dallas nightlife scene, Kinki Lounge on Greenville Avenue had its "Closing/Moving" party this past weekend. While it sounded like the name for a gentleman's club, Kinki was actually named after a region in Japan.
Kinki was an upscale lounge in the mold of the downtown Dallas clubs with bottle service and a VIP area known as the Taboo Room that thrived in its location amidst all of the Greenville bars. Kinki has hosted its fair share of big bashes over the past seven years highlighted by the Green Bay Packers official after party following their victory in Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium.
Word is that the owners sold it and are looking to perhaps reopen in a different locale. According to the club's Facebook page, this was the final chapter in the Greenville location but to "stay tuned for the new location of Kinki Lounge."
