Gabriel Dawe's blue jeans, punctured by thousands of straight pins that were poked from the outside in to make a most cruel lining, were one of the most startling images of the Dallas Art Fair in April. Now, Conduit Gallery in Dallas is mounting a number of his works in "Blinding Pain," an apt title for a group of garments that have been pierced by pins. Dawe will be sharing wall space at the gallery with Rex Ray and Jill Storthz through Aug. 31. An opening-night reception for the artists will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 23. 1626-C Hi Line Drive, Dallas. 214-939-0064; www.conduitgallery.com
