A night (or afternoon) at the opera

It's the final weekend of the Fort Worth Opera Festival, and that means a chance to see each opera -- one of them twice. Three Decembers is 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, and 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2; The Marriage of Figaro is 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 1; Tosca is 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2; and Lysistrata is 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3. $70-$455 for festival pass; single tickets are $18-$180. 817-731-0726; www.fwopera.org

Q Cinema fest returns

Another Cowtown festival tradition kicks up Thursday night: Q Cinema, the gay and lesbian film festival. It kicks off with Funkytown (starring Justin Chatwin of Shameless) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31. The festival runs through June 3 at Rose Marine Theater, 1440 N.
