Dallas post-punk trio Nervous Curtains just released its second full-length, Fake Infinity, and has been playing CD release shows in the area. You can find Sean Kirkpatrick and his bandmates at Lola's Saloon at 9 p.m. Saturday, with support from Pinkish Black and Vulgar Fashion. Seven bucks gets you in the door, if you're over 21; $11 if you are under 21.
Tireless Fort Worth-based rapper Dru B Shinin' will throw a party at the Grotto on Saturday, in honor of his latest LP, All American. The music gets going at 9 p.m., and he will be backed by a full band, including keyboardist EyeJay, guitarist The Shark, the Skeeves' Victor Salinas on bass and drummer Andy Weaver. The night will also feature a deep roster of local hip-hop and rock talent, including Monde Green ( Anetix, Phlegm and Brady Hamilton), the Skeeves, Big Cliff and members of Rabbit's Got the Gun, along with other special guests like JKush, Wrex Washington and Wealth Club.
