Ice Eater, Hanna Barbarians playing Where House tonight

Posted 11:27am on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012

If you're casting about for something to do this Leap Day evening, might I suggest stopping by the Where House off Hemphill? Among other things, you'll get to see the first WH performance of Fort Worth foursome Ice Eater, which counts among its members ex-Burning Hotels drummer Wyatt Adams.

Along with bandmates Zachary Edwards, James Jardine and Jordan Kline, Adams says Ice Eater is hard at work on its debut EP, which will be released "as soon as possible." "We're going to Waxahachie to record two songs with Alex [Bhore] from [San Marcos-based post-rock band] This Will Destroy You," Adams tells me, "and we have three other [songs] that turned out swell."

Also on tonight's bill: magician Ash Adams, the "Texas Wolf Sanctuary" dance company and the Hanna Barbarians. Things kick off at 9 p.m.; it's a 21-and-up gig with $12 cover and BYOB.
