Checking out Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill in Frisco

Posted 7:44am on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012

Fans of breastaurants including Hooters, Twin Peaks, Bikinis Sports Bar & Grill, 3rd Base Sports Bar & Grill and Bone Daddy's House of Smoke can add another name to the list, Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill in Frisco. Tailgaters has more of an upscale sports bar vibe -- imagine Bone Daddy's meets The Fan Sports Lounge.

The newest addition to DFW's vast sports bar arena has free WiFi, electric outlets under every bar stool, personal flat screens in every booth, a 3D TV and an Xbox Kinect. The menu features traditional American food including steaks, baby back ribs, burgers and hot dogs. Don't forget to check out the most popular of the appetizers, mini pizzas called the "pie holes." But let's be honest, the biggest reason to check the place out comes down to the beautiful girls that work there and the fact that there are 50 flat screens showing sports.

Of special note, on Feb. 24, 105.3 The Fan will be at Tailgaters for a live broadcast of the RAGE (Richie & Greggo Extravaganza) featuring Richie Whitt and Greg Williams from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Every Friday, Tailgaters hosts "Frisky Fridays" with Happy Hour starting at 3:00 and featuring drink specials for ladies all night long. This edition of "Frisky Fridays" will be special as The Fan's Sybil Summers (many of you will recognize her from the DFW.com 2011 Hot Issue) will stay after the broadcast to host the event. And I must say, the chance to hang with Sybil is well worth the drive up to Frisco from any corner of the Metroplex.

We now have a new, simpler way for you to enter and search for events, at listings.dfw.com. As always, when you submit an event to appear online, it will also be available for us in our print publication. But now you can simply enter your event and provide an email address, rather than creating a separate account and registering. Our new listings tool is still a work in progress, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune it. Please contact us at hsvokos@dfw.com if you have any questions or concerns.
