The Fort Worth Library presents a "Gaggle of Fort Worth Authors," Saturday, Feb. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Richard Selcer and Kevin Foster will talk about their Written in Blood, Vol. 2: The Story of Fort Worth's Fallen Lawmen. Also on tap: J'Nell Pate's Arsenal of Defense; Bill Neal's Vengeance Is Mine and Hollace Weiner's A History of River Crest Country Club. Dancing for life

Dancers in the area have united for an AIDS Outreach Center Benefit Concert. The Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society, the School for Classical & Contemporary Dance at TCU, the Big Rig Dance Collective, the Bruce Wood Dance Project, Contemporary Dance/Fort Worth, Epiphany DanceArts and Muscle Memory Dance Theatre are all participating for one night's performance Saturday, Feb, 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Studio B Theatre of Erma Lowe Hall at TCU. Cardinal numbers

Spend the day counting our feathered friends during the Great Backyard Bird Count, Saturday, Feb. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at River Legacy Living Science Center, 703 N.W. Green Oaks Blvd. in Arlington. Novice to expert bird-watchers can take part in the event that also includes story time, face painting and more for the kids.
