Country singer Randy Travis was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of public intoxication, NBCDFW.com reports.
A few highlights from the report (full report here):
"Travis, who has a ranch in nearby Tioga, was spotted in front of a Baptist Church in Sanger with an open bottle of wine, police said. ... Sanger officers took him to Denton where he was booked into the county jail at 1:30 a.m. Monday and released a few hours later. ... 'They take you to jail for at least four hours, time to sober up,' [Denton County Sheriff's Department spokesman Tom[ Reedy explained about the Class C misdemeanor for which Travis was cited."
The report also notes that Travis collapsed in September during a performance at the Huguley Memorial Center's 18th annual Crystal Heart Gala. For DFW.com's report on that, go here. UPDATE: Here's the Star-Telegram's report on the Sanger incident.
