Taking aim at the best and worst of movies and television.
NBC has the Super Bowl this year, so it makes sense that NBC owned-and-operated has a special sports-related feature scheduled to air after the Super Bowl (and The Voice).
NBC5 anchor Meredith Land will interview three women married to some pretty high-profile sports-team owner: Gene Jones, wife of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones; Ruth Ryan, wife of Texas Rangers owner Nolan Ryan; and Tiffany Cuban, wife of Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
According to an NBC5 release, the three women rarely do TV interviews and have never done an interview together. The wives speak of family life and their roles as a wife and a part of the team business. They share their dreams for their children and grandchildren. Tiffany Cuban shares a funny side of husband Mark and how she has one of the most important jobs in the Cuban household.
I asked all three to bring their championship rings to display and they did, Land says, and you can see that in the photo.
Lands candid conversation with the trio took place inside the Dallas Museum of Art. The interview is scheduled to air on NBC5 News at 10 p.m., but you know how Super Bowls go -- expect it to air later than 10 p.m., after the season premiere of The Voice. Here's a very brief clip.
